Yes, we accept Medicare. Exclusions may apply for certain specialties.
Most patients do not need a referral to see a TeleMed2U specialist. If your insurance company requires a referral, our staff will work with you to obtain the required referral.

Consults can be done on mobile devices with the correct software video and audio capabilities. One of our scheduling team members can assist you with specific device questions.
Appointment duration varies based on the specialty as well as whether the appointment is an initial or follow-up visit.
Your TeleMed2U provider will schedule a follow-up appointment and make any appropriate referrals for any tests or labs that are required. All visit notes are sent back to the referring primary care provider.
When clinically appropriate, TeleMed2U providers can prescribe medications just like any other doctor you visit in-person. Our providers always evaluate the medical need before prescribing. Prescriptions are sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice. Note: We do not prescribe controlled substances like narcotics or benzodiazepines.
TeleMed2U providers can refill medications when appropriate.
All orders are sent electronically to the location that aligns with the patient benefits.
Yes. TeleMed2U’s platform is private and secure. It meets HIPAA and HITECH standards. All interactions between the patient and provider are encrypted, so they remain strictly confidential.
For health plans, the platform is SOC 2 certified.
